Classes for Mum's

 

Strong Mum's!

Are you a mum thinking about starting exercise again? Or maybe just wanting to try Pilates?  

At Embody Pilates we teach mum's how to feel strong and flexible in their daily life.  All our mum's enjoy doing Pilates because they get a bit of time out to work on their bodies, after all you have been busy building and looking after your kids bodies you need some time to look after your own! 

To work with mum's well, we know that we need to be able to customise each session.  So during a Pilates class your instructors goal is not only to keep you mobile and strong but it's also to help your energy levels.  This means to help you feel relaxed if you are tense (and sleep deprived!) so your customised class includes stretching, release techniques and guided muscle relaxation.  This will help improve areas of tightness and promote better posture too.   

But we will also help our mum's to gain energy by expending some energy.  When you work out you can actually end up creating more energy for yourself, you feel energised by getting your body moving.    And we all know mothers need energy! 

Now we wouldn't be a Pilates studio if we didn't mention getting our bodies back into a shape we like too!  Pilates helps get your mid- section stronger and your bum toned!  (So that means you can put on your old lululemons again!)  It's a full body workout but we tend to tailor to individual weaknesses to help those parts get stronger.  

Being a mum can feel like you’re working out all day, but if you wondered why you don't have great arms from carrying your kids around all day....... then you should try some Pilates moves to tone those arms too!
