Emily first started Pilates eighteen years ago to complement her classical ballet training and help avoid injuries.  After a career with the European Ballet Company, Emily took up full-contact karate, competing in tournaments in Australia and Japan.  She’s been teaching Studio Pilates in Melbourne now for fourteen years and draws on her extensive experience with dance and martial arts to develop her style of Pilates.  Emily is always looking for new ways to develop her teaching and enjoy exercise. Currently this includes getting walked by her dog Simba, Pilates and Martial Arts.

Emily enjoys inventing unique and inspiring Pilates programs for her clients. She is inspired by people’s individual goals and the challenge of helping them make changes.  Emily has done extensive clinical Pilates and postural assessment training and enjoys using corrective exercises to help people feel and look their best.  Drawing on her own experience of being a mum, she has an appreciation for the strength and resilience that women have.  She enjoys helping women feel strong, recover well and deal with the demands that child birth and raising children has on the body.

Emily is currently completing a Bachelor of Exercise Science to be up to date with the latest scientific knowledge in the industry and assist working alongside other Health professionals.
